Let's say you put your tooth brush in one place. Normally we don't change that position. Do this experiment. Change the location of the tooth brush and put in a different place in the bathroom.
The next day when you wake up and reach out to get your tooth brush to brush your teeth, guess where will you go? To the same place you normally keep it. If you change that place put it in another place permanently, eventually your mind will register that change and you will go the new place to grab the toothbrush. Now how is this related to rewiring your brain?
When you go to place A to grab your tooth brush, your brain is wired to think that your tooth brush is in place A. You don't even think about it, you just go to place A.
Now, let's take a look at what happens when you change the place and put it in place B.
The next day you wake up, your brain still thinks it is in place A. That is what your brain has learned. Even though it is place B you will still go to Place A because your brain has not rewired itself to acknowledge that the place has been changed to place B.
If you continue to keep the tooth brush at place B, eventually your brain will rewire and remember that your tooth brush is in place B.
Case in point, our brain is getting rewired constantly and we don't even know about it.
All you have to do is use the same technique to quit smoking by breaking these event based or emotion based associations in your brain.
How do you do it? You rewire your brain.
Let's revisit smoking after lunch.
it is an event based association. Your brain has been rewired to smoke after lunch. If you break that association by rewiring your brain, you will never smoke again after lunch.
Please do this experiment at home and let me know how it turned out for you.
That's all for now. Have a good night.

It is simply as breaking the habit, but I beleieve it takes time.
